Business Controller / Financial Analyst

BPD Express is an international logistics company specializing in parcel and cargo delivery from Europe to Russia, CIS countries, and the Caucasus region. As the company continues to grow, we are strengthening our financial controlling and business analytics capabilities.

We are looking for a Business Controller to take ownership of management financial analysis, unit economics, and business performance control.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Modeling

• Build and maintain financial models
  (revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, scenarios).

• Forecast financial performance by country, business line, and channel.

• Prepare scenario analyses (best / base / worst case).

• Assess financial impact of management decisions.

Unit Economics and Cost Analysis

• Develop and maintain unit economics models for logistics services.

• Calculate full cost per shipment, order, and customer.

• Analyze profitability by product, country, and acquisition channel.

• Calculate break-even points and minimum viable pricing.

• Identify unprofitable segments and operational bottlenecks.

• Provide recommendations to improve profitability.

Plan vs. Actual and Performance Control

• Perform regular plan vs. actual analysis.

• Explain deviations and prepare actionable recommendations.

• Support management with data-driven insights.

Management Reporting and KPIs

• Develop management reporting and dashboards.

• Define and monitor KPIs linked to unit economics and profitability.

• Prepare reports for shareholders and senior management.

Business Decision Support

• Financial analysis for:

  • pricing and tariff changes;

  • promotions and campaigns;

  • launch of new countries and business lines;

  • cost and process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in controlling, financial analysis, or management accounting.

• Hands-on experience with unit economics.

• Strong analytical and modeling skills.

• Ability to translate numbers into business insights.

• Independent and structured working style.

German language skills are not mandatory; the primary working language is Russian.
